Many shale producers ain’t making no money at these current prices, y’all! Picture this: a bunch of oil big shots chillin’ at Mar-a-Lago, listenin’ to Donald Trump talkin’ ’bout how if he ain’t president, they’re screwed. He was all like, “IF I’M NOT president, you’re screwed.” Classic Trump move, am I right? Anyways, this dude tried to make himself out to be the savior of the American oil industry, goin’ up against them Dems who apparently hate hydrocarbons or somethin’. But get this, oil production actually went up a lot when Joe Biden was in charge. Crazy, right? But now that Trump’s in the White House, he’s all about cuttin’ back on them environmental rules and makin’ it easier for oil dudes to start drillin’ like crazy.
I mean, who even knows what’s goin’ on with these prices these days. Like, are they too low, too high, just right? Not really sure why this matters, but apparently a lot of these shale producers are strugglin’ to make a profit. Maybe it’s just me, but it feels like they should figure out a way to make more money or somethin’. But hey, what do I know? I’m just a new grad journalist tryin’ to make sense of it all.
So, like, Trump’s all about tellin’ these oil folks to keep on drillin’ and pumpin’ out that sweet, sweet oil. He’s like, “Drill, baby, drill!” But like, is that really gonna solve all their problems? I mean, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
